Jack Kornfield
Jack Kornfield is a renowned American author and Buddhist teacher who has significantly influenced the transmission of Buddhist mindfulness practice to the West. Born on July 16, 1945, he trained as a Buddhist monk in Thailand, Burma, and India. Kornfield co-founded the Insight Meditation Society in Massachusetts and the Spirit Rock Meditation Center in California. Holding a Ph.D. in clinical psychology, he has written numerous influential books on meditation and mindfulness, such as “A Path with Heart: A Guide Through the Perils and Promises of Spiritual Life by Jack Kornfield” and “The Wise Heart: A Guide to the Universal Teachings of Buddhist Psychology by Jack Kornfield.” His teachings, which blend traditional Buddhist practices with contemporary psychology, focus on mindfulness, compassion, and emotional healing, making them accessible to a broad audience.
